This promotes the widest possible dissemination of research, enabling readers to access, read, and utilize the information without financial, legal, or technical barriers.

3. Publication License

All articles published in Central Asia and the Caucasus are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits the following:

  • Sharing: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adaptation: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

Terms of the CC BY 4.0 License:

  • Attribution: Proper credit must be given to the original author(s), a link to the license must be provided, and any changes made must be indicated. The attribution should not suggest that the authors or Central Asia and the Caucasus endorse the use of the material.
  • No Additional Restrictions: No legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits should be applied.

4. Author Rights and Responsibilities

To ensure the long-term preservation of its content, Central Asia and the Caucasus participates in digital archiving initiatives such as LOCKSS and CLOCKSS. This ensures that research remains accessible and preserved for future generations.

6. Compliance with Funding Requirements

Publishing with Central Asia and the Caucasus under the CC BY 4.0 license ensures compliance with the open access requirements of many funding bodies, which often mandate that research outputs be freely available and reusable.

7. No Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Central Asia and the Caucasus does not charge authors for article processing fees, making it an equitable platform for researchers from all economic backgrounds to publish their work.
